JELD-WEN Earns a Number Of Top Honors For Window, Door Reliability and Product Innovation

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. June 17, 2008 — JELD-WEN continues to earn the trust of national homebuilders and homeowners, as well as the top publications and environmental organizations that cover the building and home products industry.

Recently, the company has been honored with two prestigious awards that showcase the best of the best in residential construction. JELD-WEN has also achieved Chain of Custody certification from the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI), in addition to receiving a top product ranking from a leading consumer publication.

Best of Brand
When it comes to aluminum and vinyl windows, a recent brand study of the nation’s builders by Builder magazine discovered that JELD-WEN is the company most contractors rely on.

JELD-WEN swept the study’s aluminum and vinyl window categories and was singled out by builders as the brand they know best, use the most and rate the highest in quality.  Also scoring well was the company’s wood window line, which earned a spot in the top three in brand familiarity and product usage.

The report, sponsored by industry trade publisher Hanley Wood, LLC, and conducted by Readex Research, an independent research company, gauged responses in 82 building product categories.

Top 100 New Products
Recognized for its product innovation and technological advances, JELD-WEN earned two spots on the Professional Builder Top 100 Best New Products for 2008 list. The new MAG-Lock vinyl window lock and the 90-degree exterior folding door system were both acknowledged by the magazine’s editors in the June 2008 ranking.

Environmental recognition
