JELD-WEN, Ben Crane Continue Winning Partnership
JELD-WEN renews major sponsorship of Oregon PGA TOUR pro
KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. February 08, 2005 A measure of successful partnerships is how long they last, and one of Oregon's largest privately owned companies announced today that it will support the state's homegrown PGA TOUR professional Ben Crane for another three years.
JELD-WEN, inc., the world's leading manufacturer of reliable windows and doors, is extending its major sponsorship of Crane from 2005 through 2008. As part of the continuing agreement, Crane wears the JELD-WEN logo during tournament play.
The company has sponsored Crane since 2003, the same year the University of Oregon graduate clinched a dramatic victory and his first PGA TOUR title at the BellSouth Classic.
"Ben personifies JELD-WEN's values of reliability and performance under pressure," said Gina Monterossi, sports marketing manager for JELD-WEN. "He inspires us with his talent, professionalism and competitive spirit. We are delighted to support one of Oregon's rising stars."
In 2004, Crane finished in the top 10 five times, a career best. These finishes included a tie for ninth in the PGA Championship. He also ranked among the top 75 on the money list for the third straight season. In each of the last two years, Crane earned more than $1 million. Further illustrating his performance on the green, Crane ranked ninth overall for putting average last year.
"Having the support of an Oregon company like JELD-WEN, a business that values quality so highly, is an honor and a wonderful reminder of home whenever I step out on the course," Crane said.
