ENERGY STAR-qualified windows and doors can reduce home energy bills by up to 15 percent. "High-performance, energy-efficient windows and doors save energy and increase the comfort of your home, while protecting furniture from sun damage," said Richard Karney, manager of the U.S. Department of Energy's ENERGY STAR program. "Once consumers realize the impact energy-saving windows have on energy costs, they are eager to implement energy efficiency measures."
