JELD-WEN Extends Sponsorship of Champions Tour Pro and Fan Favorite Peter Jacobsen

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. August 14, 2006 —  As Oregon prepares for the state’s biggest golf tournament of the year, JELD-WEN announced its continued support of Champions Tour professional and Oregon native Peter Jacobsen.

JELD-WEN, the world’s leading manufacturer of reliable windows and doors, will sponsor Jacobsen for an additional year, continuing a relationship of three years.

“We’re delighted to continue to support Peter Jacobsen,” said Gina Monterossi, sports marketing manager for   JELD-WEN. “He is a fantastic ambassador for world-class golf and for our home state of Oregon. We couldn’t be more pleased with our relationship and his interaction with our employees and customers.”

Jacobsen joins a stellar field of players this month at the JELD-WEN Tradition, the final major championship on the Champions Tour. Players who have committed to the tournament include the legendary Greg Norman, defending champion Loren Roberts, Jay Haas, Craig Stadler and Tom Watson, among many other stars of the Champions Tour.

“JELD-WEN has been a dedicated partner of professional golf for many years, and I appreciate the company’s support,” Jacobsen said. “I look forward to continuing to represent their brand in the golf world and beyond.”

Jacobsen, a 30-year veteran of the PGA TOUR, has established himself as the unofficial ambassador of golf. In 2004, his first year on the Champions Tour, he won the U.S. Senior Open, and he followed in 2005 by winning the Ford Senior Players Championship. Jacobsen has six top-10 finishes this year.

This marks a break-out year for JELD-WEN and the company’s greater involvement in professional golf. In 2006, JELD-WEN renewed its designation as the official window, door and millwork provider of the PGA TOUR and Champions Tour. The company also became a Proud Partner of THE PLAYERS Championship, representing its biggest investment in pro golf to date. JELD-WEN sponsors PGA TOUR professional and Oregon native Ben Crane.

In addition to its core manufacturing business, JELD-WEN is a leading developer of golf resort destinations in the Northwest. Company-owned resorts include the new Brasada Ranch, with a course designed by Jacobsen, as well as Running Y in Klamath Falls, Ore., Eagle Crest in Redmond, Ore., Silver Mountain near Kellogg, Idaho, and Suncadia near Seattle.

The window and door manufacturer is title sponsor of the JELD-WEN Tradition, which is gearing up for its fourth year in Oregon and will be held at The Reserve Vineyards and Golf Club in Aloha, Ore., on Aug. 21-27, 2006. For more information on the tournament, visit www.jeld-wentradition.com.
