Exterior door grilles: JELD-WEN Serves Up a Variety of New Tasteful Designs

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. February 13, 2008 — Before winter weather arrives, fall is the perfect season to gather friends and family to stain the deck, repaint the house and buy a new grill – a front door grill, that is.

JELD-WEN, the world’s leading manufacturer of reliable windows and doors, introduces a collection of 18 new Decorative Metal Grilles in IWP® Custom Wood and Custom Fiberglass Exterior Doors to complement popular architectural styles or interior decor from Old World to contemporary, Craftsman to classic, Victorian to Art Deco.

“Our new collection of grilles allows homeowners more creative freedom in choosing a door that expresses a certain style or architectural influence,” said Elizabeth Souders, JELD-WEN marketing manager. 

According to an independent, nationwide study commissioned by JELD-WEN, a majority of homeowners surveyed said their current door does not reflect their personal style. In fact, nearly 58 percent said they would have chosen a different door if given the opportunity.

The variety of new grille options gives homeowners the flexibility to choose a door that reflects their personality and their home’s architectural style and decor. One of the most intricate and popular new designs is the Helios™ Grille, a stylized sun design. This grille showcases a grand entrance with a double door design that flows together beautifully, accentuating the front of the house.

The grilles are set on hinges that can be opened easily to clean the glass. The Decorative Metal Grille collection also was developed with safety in mind, as the designs are recessed into the door with no protruding parts, to prevent snags and injury. These doors are available in flat, segment, half-segment and radius top doors in heights of 6’8” and 8’0”.
