Extreme Makeover: Home Edition Showcases JELD-WEN Windows & Doors
April 24, 2007 JELD-WEN recently helped the Westbrook family build a safe and handicapped-accessible home for the family of five including father Gene Westbrook who was paralyzed while serving in Iraq. Thanks to the Extreme Makeover Home Edition team and the hundreds of volunteers, the makeover was complete in just one week. Episode 20 for Extreme Makeover: Home Edition aired Sunday, April 22 on ABC.
For the project, JELD-WEN donated new windows, patio doors, a new front door and garage door. JELD-WEN provided Premium Wood windows and doors with AuraLast® , the worry-free wood® which offers a 20-year warranty against wood decay, water absorption and termite infestation. The Westbrook family also received a traditional series garage door made with wood composite technology, which offers a distinct advantage when it comes to an affordable, low-maintenance option that offers the beauty and style of real wood. These doors perform exceptionally well, with no cracking, sagging, separating or shrinking, even in extreme temperatures.
