AuraLast The Worry Free Wood® pine provides the beautiful look of wood and the worry free protection from wood rot, water saturation and termites. Distinct color variations occur and the grain can appear straight or erratic depending on how it is cut from the log. The wood will darken and yellow with age, adding character and charm. It machines to a fine, smooth finish and easily accepts lighter stains and paint. Staining is recommended to achieve a uniform appearance because pine naturally contains resins that can affect penetration. Knots should be sealed before painting. This specie is available for both the exterior and interior of the patio door.
While usually recognized by its darker tone, cherry can be stained in a variety of shades. The cherry we use varies from rich red to reddish brown in color. It features a smooth texture with fine, straight and close grain. Occasionally, thin gum pockets and small clusters of pin knots are visible. These character marks, along with random blonde streaks of sapwood, add a distinctive quality to the wood. Cherry will darken over time with exposure to light and contains miniscule pith marks as identifiers. Cherry stains easily and smoothly. This specie is available for clad exteriors only on the interior of the patio door.
The texture of this softwood is smooth with a straight, even grain and knots that create beautiful swirl patterns. This wood is a light, rosy color that is set off by its remarkably straight and handsome grain pattern. Will tend to “redden” over time when exposed to light. Paints easily and can hold all types of stains and finishes. This specie is available for both the exterior and interior of the patio door.
(Clear and Knotty) – A popular species today because of its pronounced grain and uniform texture. This versatile wood species features a fairly straight grain with areas of burl clusters and small knots. These marks add character and will provide a darker texture and color when finished. Alder varies from pale yellow to reddish brown and it accepts stains exceptionally well. It is also the lightest and least dense. Knotty Alder presents a more rustic look. When stained, alder blends well with walnut, mahogany and cherry. This specie is available for clad exteriors only on the interior of the patio doors.
One of the most recognizable species and is typically used for the finest furniture and cabinetry. Its color ranges from reddish brown to a deep, rich red and it stains well for a superior finish. The wood displays a prominent growth ring figure, with grain that is straight or interlocked. This wood offers less expansion and contraction than most other hardwoods. Mahogany is open grained so it needs grain filler when finishing. This specie is available for both the exterior and interior of the patio door.
This hardwood is one of the most popular species used today. Oak is renowned for its dramatically pronounced grain pattern. This pattern varies from tight, vertical grain to a beautifully arched pattern. This wood may also feature pin knots and mineral streaks. The color range includes light straw and honey with a light pink hue. Very durable and strong, oak accepts stains evenly and is easy to work with. This specie is available for clad exteriors only on the interior of the patio door.
(Clear or Knotty) - One of the more beautiful and expensive species, walnut is traditionally used for fine gun stocks, furniture and boatbuilding. It is a dense hardwood that is fairly porous. The color varies from a rich, dark brown to black with purple undertones. Because of the way it growns, the heartwood of the walnut tree grows darker than the sapwood on the outer rings. Walnut features attractive blonde sapwood streaks within the darker tones and it generally has a straight grain with occasional waves or curls. It requires grain filler when finished. This specie is available for clad exteriors only on the interior of the patio door.

And the shine of polished chrome adds a contemporary edge to traditional architecture. Our selection ensures you can make the statement you want down to the last detail.
*Please note, Oil-Rubbed Bronze will change appearance over time. Oil-Rubbed Bronze and Satin Nickel are available with optional PVD finish for increased resistance to wear and discoloration.
Block Frame
For New Construction and Replacement. A block frame is for a patio door with a frame that does not include a nail fin. Installation can be done simply and neatly without disturbing exterior siding, stucco, interior trim, paint or wallpaper. The block frame is ideal for new construction installation into concrete or masonry walls. This frame has the same inside and outside dimensions.
Our standard high-performance Lodz-366 glass with insulating argon gas fill lowers energy costs, helps homes stay cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter, reducing the fading of interior furnishings and condensation. It also delivers greater visible light transmittance than tinted glass.
Optional Low-E EC is recommended for homes located at altitudes above 4,000 feet and requiring more energy efficiency than our optional Low-E glass. This glass features a second coating of Low-E on the interior side of the glass which provides dual protection to help retain even more heat inside the home. We also offer optional Low-E glass, which provides protection against heat gain by blocking harmful infrared rays, as well as providing greater energy savings.
All three glass options are available with argon gas, which helps reduce conduction and consequent energy loss, and high-altitude* glass. This option prevents glass panes from bowing in higher elevations. It includes breather tubes (placed between the panes of insulating glass) to equalize the airspace pressure with the atmosphere.
With Low-E, Low-E EC or Lodz-366 glass, ENERGY STAR® qualified versions of this product are likely available. This means they meet or exceed the minimum energy efficiency criteria for your climate region. For more information, ask your dealer how to order JELD-WEN ENERGY STAR qualified products specific to your area.
*High-altitude glass is not available with argon.
Tempered
The tempered glass is standard and available in all glass types and provides extra strength, enabling it to withstand force or pressure on its surface and it will not break into sharp pieces.
Neat
With the Neat® glass option, you gain natural cleaning convenience. By harnessing the sun’s UV rays (even when the sky is cloudy) to loosen dirt from the glass, rainwater can easily rinse away grime. No manual activation is required.
ImpactGard
We offer optional ImpactGard® protection, which is engineered and tested to stand up to the strong impacts of windborne debris, as well as the harsh conditions inherent to coastal areas. With the industry's leading laminate glass technology, windows and patio doors with ImpactGard protection can withstand a nine-pound piece of lumber striking the glass head-on at approximately 34 miles per hour. In addition, it significantly reduces sound transmission, blocks up to 95 percent of harmful UV rays and offers superior forced-entry resistance.
Preserve
Preserve® film comes standard on our window and patio door glass. It is factory-applied to both the interior and exterior surfaces of the glass. This means the glass surfaces will be reliably protected from debris and scratches that can occur during shipping and handling or at a construction site. So you won’t need to spend extra time cleaning your new windows. What’s more, it’s easy to remove.
*Please note, Preserve film is not available with impact-resistant glass or single pane units.
We offer an array of glass types, each one with its own attractive texture, pattern or color. Add a distinctive touch to our patio doors with optional textured glass, which lets light in while maintaining privacy. This glass will not only enhance your chosen door, sidelights and transoms, but also add radiance to your entire home. Obscure glass is also available with Low-E for greater privacy and energy savings.
Our optional tinted glass is ideal for climates with intense sunlight. It reduces glare and visible light transmittance, while also keeping homes more comfortable in warm weather.
Optional clear glass consists of two panes of glass, sealed with an airspace and the perimeter of the unit is sealed. This option offers maximum visible light transmittance and superb energy efficiency in most climates.

Increase a home's sense of visual harmony by choosing interior finish options to coordinate with trim, cabinetry and furnishings. For our interior patio doors, we offer ten finishes. These options include four acrylic colors (Brilliant White, Ivory, Primed and Desert Sand), five stain colors (Wheat, Cider, Fruitwood, Cordovan and Walnut), and a clear lacquer top coat.
We offer antique finish colors for all our patio doors. This look is achieved through a multistep process that begins with applying a base stain for basic, overall color. Next, a dark brown or black stain (depending on the base color) is applied, which highlights these areas. Finally, our finishing system is applied for a furniture-quality finish.
Kynar
Our clad color finishes will stay truer and brighter than other finish options. This is because they feature an optional commercial-grade 70% Kynar 500® resin system that resists fading and chalking. It’s so strong it even outperforms silicone polyester, urethane, powder and acrylic coatings. What’s more, our warranty guarantees that the finish won’t chalk or fade for 20 years, even in coastal environments.
*Please note, windows and patio doors with clad exteriors installed within one mile of a saltwater source (or other corrosive environment) have specific maintenance requirements.
Add color and excitement to your patio doors with a range of beautiful colors to accentuate your home’s visual appeal and complement many popular trim and house paint colors. The clad on our products features a finish that does not need to be repainted over time, requires minimal maintenance and provides protection from the elements. This means they are appropriate for almost every climate.

Enjoy a dynamic look with our copper cladding. Copper is a living finish that changes in appearance over time. In some arid climates, it will mature to a nut-brown or ebony color. In moist climates, the color will become a grayish blue-green. The rate of change is affected by exposure to moisture, salt and atmospheric pollutants.
The look of these windows will age to a rustic charm that only copper can offer. Copper is available on the window sash component or patio door panel only, so you can select a contrasting or complementary clad color for the frame or choose the natural look of a wood frame.
Smooth
This is the base texture used for all our patio doors. The image is a representation only of the surface texture to be applied to a patio door trim.
Light Distressing
Our distressed textures give windows an aged, Old World appearance. After applying the same techniques used to create our handhewn texture, we use chisels and other hand tools to apply random wormholes and additonal character marks to the patio door. To accentuate these marks, we recommend our blackened antique finish. The image is a representation only of the surface texture to be applied to a patio door trim.
Wire Brushed Distressing
Windows with this texture feature a charming, uneven appearance. In fact, it’s our roughest and most rustic surface texture. We achieve this look by running the wood through a wire brushing wheel (in the direction of the grain). This process tears random width and depth grooves into the wood for a randomly rough raised-grain appearance. The image is a representation only of the surface texture to be applied to a patio door trim.
