That’s good news for builders seeking sustainable windows and doors for remodeling or new construction.

Green Approved products can be used by builders to earn points toward National Green Building Certification under the NAHB’s National Green Building Standard™.

GreenDoc Tool Helps Find LEED and Sustainable Window and Door Information

Researching information on NAHB Green Approved products and a variety of other environmental aspects is easy thanks to a new JELD-WEN online tool called GreenDoc. Available on the recently redesigned www.jeld-wen.com, GreenDoc allows architects and builders to evaluate the company’s products against any of the major green building rating systems such as LEED, National Green Building Standard, Green Globes and others. GreenDoc performs the necessary product calculations required by these programs to determine exactly how selected JELD-WEN products contribute to certification. Then, GreenDoc generates clear, specific documentation that these programs require for substantiation – a first for the industry.
